On a walk yesterday afternoon, I was a little surprised to see one of my neighbors had already had their holiday decorations up.

Normally, I don't like to rush the seasons. I like each and every holiday to have it's own place and time. But this year, I'm feeling festive earlier than usual. In fact, I was already eyeing up some new décor at stores prior to Halloween. Very unlike me. Maybe it's because I lost my dad in early September, so I'm trying to look to the things that make me happy, and that's Christmas.

Keep Scrolling: What Christmas Looked Like When You Were Born

The last several years though, I have not been into decorating. The task of it seemed too daunting. It was like I'd lost my Christmas spirit. I used to put up 3 or 4 different themed trees in my home. But last year I fully downgraded to just one slim, pencil tree. That's all I could muster.

Now, though, to quote The Polar Express, 'I can hear the bell'. And I've already put up a mini-Christmas tree with some glittery reindeer on my dining room table. And I'm certain the exterior of the house won't be too far behind. I've even purchased a few Christmas gifts already, and I'm lining up a schedule for watching Christmas movies.

How about you? When will you start decorating for the holidays? Are you a 'day after Halloween' person? A Black Friday person? December 1st? Take our poll and let us know!
