United Airlines will now fly nonstop out of Atlantic City International Airport from Chicago and Houston starting in April of 2014.Right now Spirit is the only commercial airline to fly in and out of AC. Gov Chris Christie and United CEO Jeff Smisek held a press conference earlier today at Newark Internatinal Airport to announce the news. Officials are saying that this should create a major economic boost for Atlantic City.

The flights from Houston and Chicago will be daily starting in April. Chicago and Houston are United’s largest hub airports.
