Two Wildwoods Nominees in USA Today's Readers Choice Contest

There is national attention for two new businesses in the Wildwoods this month after their selections for a USA Today Readers Choice Awards.

The Madison Hotel in Wildwood Crest has been nominated for Best New Hotel, and Wildwood’s Honky Tonk Saloon entertainment venue is in the running for Best New Attraction.

Word came out Wednesday that Wildwood Crest's Madison Hotel and Wildwood's Honky Tonk Saloon are competing for national prestige and attention after being chosen by a panel of travel experts to nominate their top picks for new hotels and nightspots from around the country over the past year.

You can vote online for the retro-chic Madison Resort Wildwood Crest and the country-themed Honky Tonk Saloon once a day, every day, until the voting ends on Monday, December 23 at noon.

The Madison Hotel, where the former Oceanview Motel and Royal Hawaiian used to be in Wildwood Crest, opened just in time for Memorial Day Weekend and made an immediate impact.

Wildwood's Honky Tonk Saloon

Wildwood's Honky Tonk Saloon, a country music bar, is opening at the Boardwalk Mall in Wildwood on Friday, May 10.

The 8,000-square-foot venue at 3800 Boardwalk offers cocktails, barbecues, live music, line dancing, and arcade games.

The Honkt Tonk is competing in the Best New Attractions category against a variety of new theme parks, museum exhibits, and performance spaces from around the country.

Wildwood's Honky Tonk Saloon is the Jersey Shore's newest country-western destination including a spacious arcade filled with games that guests of all ages are sure to enjoy.
