Two men were wounded, one critically, in a drive-by shooting in Salem County Saturday and New Jersey State Police are asking for your help with any information about the crime.

According to a release from police on Facebook concerning the shooting, five people in a car on State Highway 49 in Quinton Township, Salem County were shot at while the driver was attempting to make a left turn into a restaurant parking lot on State Highway 49. The suspect vehicle is possibly a tan or brown in color sedan.

At approximately 5:16 p.m Saturday, troopers from the Woodstown Station responded to milepost 10.4 eastbound for the report of a double shooting. When troopers arrived, they discovered the victims inside a Dodge Intrepid.

The male victims, a 20-year-old driver and a 23-year-old passenger, both sustained gunshot wounds. The driver was taken to Salem Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and later released.

The passenger was treated on scene and airlifted to Cooper University Hospital where he was last listed in critical but stable condition. Three backseat passengers were not injured.
