Today is Blow Bubbles 4 Autism Day
To kick off Autism Awareness Month, the Ventnor-based non profit awareness group Blow Bubbles 4 Autism is encouraging local schools, groups and organizations to participate in today's 12th Annual Blow Bubbles 4 Autism Day.
Autism is a neurological disorder which affects one in 100 children in the USA. In New Jersey, it is one in 94.
Lite Rock 96.9 WFPG is joining in the bubble-blowing effort at Davenport Elementary School in Egg Harbor Township today (Wednesday) at 1:15pm. Davenport has a large population of students with autism.
I will be at Davenport to help with the festivities as close to 1000 students, faculty and parents are expected to join to show their support for the cause!
Listen for highlights from our visit to Davenport School for Blow Bubbles 4 Autism on the Lite Rock Morning Show with Eddie Davis.
You can contact Blow Bubbles 4 Autism for information on organizing your own Blow Bubbles event. Although the official kick-off day is April 1st, some bubble blowing events are scheduled for other times during the month.
