There are some truly wacky laws out there from coast to coast. Some are ridiculous and some are highly questionable, while others are just plain bizarre.

Thrillist has put together a list of the weirdest and quirkiest law in every single state, including our beloved home state of New Jersey. Check them out, below:

    Florida - Beware of Dogs

Owners are libel if you get bit by a dog in the Sunshine State but, if the owner has a "Bad Dog" sign posted, you're on your own when it comes to getting bit.

  • BristolDen

    Hawaii - One Drink Limit

It's actually illegal to have more than one drink in front of you if you're vacationing in the Aloha State. Drinking on the beach is also a no-no, as is drinking in the ocean.

    Idaho - Illegal Snowballs

Winters in Idaho can be downright brutal and seem to last forever. While it's not illegal to throw a snowball, it IS against the law to throw one with the intent to hurt someone or damage property.

  • Yobro10

    Indiana - No Fishing

You can actually fish in the Hoosier State, you just can't do it with a firearm... or with your hands. Yuck!

    Maryland - No Foul Language

You are not allowed to use profanity while driving on any street or highway, within earshot of a passing person. This one would be easy to break, especially if someone yells something first!

    New Hampshire - No Picnics

Alright, this is COMPLETELY bizarre, but in multiple counties of the Live Free of Die State, it's illegal to have a picnic in a cemetery. Not sure why anyone would even want to in the first place though...

New York - No Selfies Allowed

This one actually makes sense. You are not allowed to take a selfie with a tiger or any big cats, for your own protection of course.

    North Carolina - Illegal Bingo

You aren't breaking the law if you do play, unless you play for more than 10 straight hours. Then you need to find a bingo exhibition to play in.

    Tennessee - No Netflix

I'm sure this law is repeatedly broken and not just in Tennessee, but you are not allowed to use someone else's Netfllix account in the Volunteer State.

New Jersey - No Pumping Allowed

New Jersey is the last state in the entire nation where it is against the law to pump your own gas.

According to the NY Times, you can now pump your own gas in Oregon, which up until recently was the only other state where self-serve was illegal. You can now fill your own car up in the Beaver State as of New Year's Day 2018. Will it ever be legal to do so in our own home state?
