Want To Live Like Royalty? Live At AC’s Stockton University
Stockton University in Atlantic City went above and beyond for the students who are planning to live on campus.
The $178.3 million dollar campus debuts this year and will have an official ribbon cutting on September 20th.
"We want to keep as many of those New Jersey students in New Jersey, and the only way we can do that is to continue to expand,” said Stockton University president Harvey Kesselman.
“Every unit will have kitchen facilities because we wanted the students to be able to go to area grocery stores and go out to dinner in the area restaurants," added Kesselman. "Not only are we here to provide academic opportunity, but we are also here to help with the economic revival of the city."
These units will include a spacious gathering area on the first floor and a kitchen area where officials say they hope to host cooking demonstrations.
The Quad will feature various types of dorm rooms ranging from a one-person studio to family-style housing that will have a view of either the boardwalk or the bay.
The apartments are gorgeous with one of the available layouts being a four-person private suite with four 100 square-foot bedrooms, two bathrooms, a furnished living room, refrigerator, and oven. It is not a surprise that this living option is almost full but it will cost an extra $5,000 a semester.
So, an amazing living space right near the beach. Talk about having it made!
“It’s unbelievable,” said first-year grad student Alyssa Smialowicz. “ I didn’t expect it to be as amazing as it is. I feel like I’m in a house. I don’t feel like I’m in a college residence hall.”
“I plan on taking some of my work down to the beach and doing some of my occupational therapy studies work there,” said first-year graduate-student Dionia Henderson Henderson said. “I think the beach will be nice.”
The campus will also include an academic center, event spaces, classrooms, and a food court.
