New Jersey State Police are asking for your help with any information concerning the shooting of a 26-year motorist early Friday, July 24 on Rt. 55 in Millville.

At  12:20 a.m., troopers responded to a single-car crash on Rt. 55 at milepost 28.2 northbound. They found the male victim sustained a gunshot wound and crashed. Several shots had been fired at the man's vehicle from a passing vehicle.

The man was treated at the scene before being taken to an area hospital where he was last listed in critical condition.

Moments earlier, the victim was seen on video leaving the Wawa on Second Street in Millville and driving towards Rt. 55.

Detectives believe that the shooting may have been the result of an incident that occurred between the victim and an unknown suspect in Millville on July 23.
