Setting a record for growing the world's largest corn stalk wasn't what 80-year-old Matt Jacovelli set out to do, but that's exactly what happened!

Feeding animals that wander onto his property in Deptford has always been a hobby for Jacovelli, according to 6abc.com.

Jacovelli is not a farmer, so when throwing down some corn kernels onto his lawn, he never imagined it would lead to a Guinness World Record.

29 cobs of corn ended up growing on the single stalk, setting a new record. Jacovelli calls it a 'freak accident', and blames a squirrel! Watch below to find out why.
