We have obtained official confirmation from a Somers Point City Council Member and we can now report the following:

At approximately 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, there was a two-car crash on Somers Point Mays Landing Road, also known as Route 559.

Our source confirmed:

“Yesterday, just after 5:00 p.m., a driver was trapped, the door was unable to open, no serious injuries. The accident occurred near The Greate Bay Fitness Center.”

It appears that one of the cars drifted over from their lane causing the impact.

This crash is a completely separate incident then a second car crash that occurred yesterday in Somers Point.
