It appears that SNJ Today's nightly TV South Jersey newscast is going the way of TV-40, off the air for good. According to the television station's website, the newscast, which has aired local news weeknights at 7pm and 11pm on Channel 22 locally and on Channel 4 since the fall of 2015, will end on Feb 15.

NJ Today says it plans to end the newscast as it moves to refocus coverage on Cumberland County through its website, radio programs and weekly newspaper, according to a statement from company President Ken Pustizzi Jr.

SNJ Today News is anchored by South Jersey media veteran Michelle Dawn Mooney, with weatherman NorEaster Nick Pittman, sports director Mike Frankel, and reporters Nina Contento and Melanie Zayas. All will apparently lose their jobs, along with the show's production crew.

Pustizzi promised the family owned company’s founding mission to deliver “positive news stories” continues. He did not disclose the total number of employees affected by the cancellation of the SNJ Today Newscast.
