
Six People Lose Their Home in Egg Harbor Township Fire
Six people were displaced by a house fire in Egg Harbor Township on Sunday afternoon.
Firefighters Respond to Sunday Blaze
A house fire was reported shortly after 1 pm Sunday in Egg Harbor Township on the 100 block of Bristol Road.
Six people living in the home were able to escape the fire. One of them suffer a minor injury to their hand and was treated on the scene, according to police.
Firefighters from the Cardiff, Farmington, Scullville and Bargaintown fire companies along with the 177th Air National Guard Fire Department, and the Atlantic City Airport Fire Department all responded and helped control the fire, according to NJ.com.
Neighbors Heard Explosion Before Fire
The neighbors across the street from the house said they heard an explosion and went outside to see what had happened. They saw fire coming from the home's garage.
Egg Harbor Township Police closed Tremont Avenue as fire and emergency vehicles responded to the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Egg Harbor Township fire inspector.
