Sicklerville Mom, Accused of Killing Her Toddler Son, Also Part of Murder-for-Hire Plot
A 43-year-old Sicklerville, Gloucester Township woman already waiting to go on trial for allegedly killing her own child, also reportedly wanted another man dead, police say.
Heather Reynolds finds herself in even deeper trouble with the law today. Police reportedly uncovered a murder-for-hire plot in which she allegedly conspired with her boyfriend to kill an unnamed male, according to Patch.com.
In social media DM's, Reynolds allegedly referred to that individual as a, "scumbag and a dead man walking. Mark my words, he'll be dead in a year."
According to 44-year-old Jeffrey Callahan, of Clayton, who is Reynolds' boyfriend, Heather planned to obtain money from her parents to carry out her plans. According to a witness, Callahan allegedly advised Reynolds the murder of that targeted male would best be carried out after her trial so as not to raise any suspicion.
Heather Reynolds is due to go on trial soon in the death of her 17-month-old son Axel, who died on May 10, 2018. After an investigation, Reynolds was arrested for murdering Axel, and charged with first-degree murder and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child. Additional charges for drug possession and hindering apprehension were also tacked on.
One week ago, both Reynolds and Jeffrey Callahan were each hit with one count of first-degree conspiracy to commit murder. Heather Reynolds has remained behind bars since she was arrested in the killing of her son Axel, which seems like it's for the best given her track record.
