Police Request Help Finding Missing Vineland Man With Dementia
A Vineland man who may show signs of Alzheimer's or dementia and is insulin-dependent has been missing since Sunday afternoon and police are asking for your help finding him.
Jose Ortiz Has Been Missing for Days
Vineland Police and the family of Jose Antonio Ortiz, 72, are requesting help in the search for the man. Ortiz was last seen at about 3 pm Sunday, June 16, near Valley and Linda Avenues in Vineland.
According to police, the man is suffering from Alzheimer's, dependent on insulin, and in need of medication.
Police say Ortiz has no wallet, phone, or identification with him.
Police Give This Description of Jose Ortiz
Vineland Police say Jose Ortiz is a bald, Hispanic man with brown eyes, is 5' 7" and weighs 180 pounds.
He was last seen wearing dark denim shorts, a purple Polo shirt, and black sneakers.
His family thinks he may be in the wooded area of East Chestnut Ave, Valley Ave, Walnut Road, or near Sacred Heart Cemetery in Vineland.
