Pickles On Pizza? New Jersey Has Officially Won The Pizza War Against NYC Because Of One Wretched Pie
New York is never allowed to say that they are better at making pizza than the Garden State EVER AGAIN! That is because....this is NA👏STY!👏
I follow @FoodInsider on Twitter because, well, I LOVE food! (Which is no surprise based on the size of my butt LOL)
They have shown some pretty interesting dishes that are offered around the country but a recent post has me scarred.
The pizzeria in question is Rhino's Pizzeria in Webster, New York.Twitter post"offers a ton of dill pickle slices and mozzarella cheese."
This pizzeria revealed they go through 10 Lbs. of dill pickles per week to make this wretched pie.
I love pickles. I do....I can eat them with sandwiches, burgers, solo, in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening and even for a midnight snack.
But just because one loves pizza and one loves pickles, it does not mean that they would work well together.
And it is the same situation as pineapple. I love pineapple....but that does not mean it should go on top of pizza. EVER!
So I am going to declare that New Jersey has just permanently won this pizza war against New York because this dish is an abomination.
I don't know...would you try it?
And just to clear this up....there are quite a few foods that should NEVER come close to being put on a pizza in addition to pickles.
Just don't do it.
Here they are:
