Two people aboard a 45-foot Cruisers Yacht came aground on the beach in Stone Harbor on Saturday night and were rescued from the boat by the Stone Harbor Fire Department.

The vessel was towed to Cape May on Sunday morning by Sea Tow Cape May.

Luxury Yacht Beached in Stone Harbor

About 8 pm on Saturday, two people aboard a 45-foot Cruisers Yacht grounded the vessel on the beach in Stone Harbor.

According to a Facebook post from Sea Tow Cape May, the Stone Harbor Fire Department "removed" the two occupants of the boat.

A search for the going price for a 45-foot Cruisers Yacht shows it's about $500,000.

Sea Tow Cape May posted photos of successfully towing the boat to Cape May on Sunday morning.

It's unknown if the vessel had a mechanical problem or if there was some other reason for the people aboard to ground the boat onto the beach.
