Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church is holding its 41st annual Greek festival this Thursday through Sunday, June 5-8th, on the grounds of the church at Mill Road and Ridge Ave in Egg Harbor Township.

What to Expect - The Food

You don't hold a festival every June for 41 years without doing something right, and this weekend's Greek festival is a blast.

Immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and tastes of Greece right in Egg Harbor Township.

Let's start with the food.

The festival features many traditional Greek dishes, including Gyros, Chicken Gyros, Chicken Shish-kabob, Pastichio, Cheese Pies, and Spinach Pie. But that's not all.

Feast on roast Leg of lamb, Mediterranean chicken, Pastico (Greek lasagna), Greek salads, and moussaka, thick layers of eggplant, beef in tomato sauce, topped with béchamel sauce.

And, if you love the Greek Festival, but you prefer American food, you can grab a cheesburger, a cheesesteak, or a slice of pizza.

The desserts are the best part, so let's take a look.

Enjoy Baklava, a sweet pastry made from layers of thin phyllo dough filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with honey or syrup

Galaktoboureko, a cream custard baked in crispy golden dough, and Loukoumades

Greek donuts fried in honey syrup, homemade pastries,  ice cream, and more.

The popular outdoor taverna will be open, offering wine, cocktails, and beer, or try a Greek coffee.

What to Expect - Entertainment

Enjoy the junior and adult Greek dance performances throughout the weekend.

Amusement rides will be open throughout the festival, with discounted tickets on Thursday and Sunday. It's all you can ride for $25 from 5 to 10 pm
