One Person Died in North Cape May House Fire Early Sunday
One person died in a house fire in North Cape May early Sunday morning.
Fire crews rushed to the home in the 200 block of Suzanne Avenue around 1 a.m. Sunday.
According to firefighters, fire crews from Town Bank, Erma, Villas Cape May, Rio Grande, Green Green, and other Fire/EMS agencies operated on the scene for hours while the fire was extinguished.
Heavy flames were shooting from the one-story residence upon arrival to the scene.
Some residents were evacuated to ensure their safety, due to the proximity of the fire.
