Is everybody happy? Apparently, we are.

A report from WalletHub says New Jersey is the third happiest state in the nation.

Do you believe it? Hey, this was determined through research.

WalletHub says they examined all 50 states across 30 key metrics to determine where Americans exhibit the best combination of emotional, physical, economic and social well-being.

What States Are Happier Than New Jersey?

Only Hawaii and Maryland are happier than the Garden State if you believe this survey. These are definitely not the same people I see on Facebook, complaining about every single thing in New Jersey.

The 10 unhappiest states in the country are Kentucky, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Alabama, Alaska, New Mexico, Tennessee, West Virginia, Arkansas, and, the unhappiest state in America...Louisiana.

Just imagine how much they must be complaining in Louisiana.

Why is New Jersey So Happy?

According to WalletHub, New Jersey is so happy because we have the lowest share of people reporting traumatic events during their childhood and the second-highest life satisfaction rate.

New Jersey also has the third-lowest separation and divorce rate in America, at around 17%.

WalletHub's website says that Jersey also has the third-highest share of households earning over $75,000 per year and the sixth-lowest food insecurity rate.

We also have the second-lowest rate of adult depression, behind only Hawaii.

So, be happy, Jersey people!
