A man from Gloucester County has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection to the death of a man from Camden earlier this month.

21-year-old Nasir Aaron of Swedesboro was arrested Wednesday morning in Paulsboro by the US Marshals NY/NJ Fugitive Task Force.

Last Friday morning, July 2nd, authorities say police responded to a multiple-round ShotSpotter alert in the area of the 1100 block of Baring Street in Camden. When police arrived, they found 31-year-old Darrell Lopez of Camden suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. A second victim, a 50-year-old man, arrived a short time later at an area hospital seeking treatment after being shot.

Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill Mayer says video surveillance footage and information gathered by police led to Aaron being charged.

The condition of the second shooting victim was not provided by prosecutors, nor was any information on how he was involved in the incident where Lopez was shot.
