These days, when you see a post on Facebook about a missing person, it is often the most shameless type of scam post.

People are posting photos of people, mostly kids, whom they say are missing when they are not or they aren't missing from South Jersey.

I don't understand the scam's purpose, but there's a special place waiting in hell for a person who would play on the emotions of someone trying to help find a missing person.

This post is not a scam. This man is missing and his father believes he was in Atlantic City since he went missing.

What Happened to Trevor Shaffer?

Chilton Shaffer has been looking for his oldest son, Trevor, for about two weeks. Trevor Shaffer, 28, lives in Kempton, PA., Berks County, near Reading.

According to his father's information, Trevor was last seen on Friday, July 26.

The last tracking location on his phone before it went dead or was turned off was on July 27th on Dotterer Rd. in Kempton.

Here's where Atlantic City comes into play.

His father says, "His last contact was on Sunday, July 28th when he used his debit card in Atlantic City".

How You Can Help the Family

The Shaffer family has filed a missing person report with the police. They have posted missing-person flyers around the Atlantic City area with his photo.

I feel bad for them

If you have any information concerning Trevor, please report it immediately.

If anyone has seen him, knows where he is, or any info whatsoever please reach out to PSP, Michele Obyle-Shaffer, or your local police. Let’s find him and get him home.
