For fans of the Miss America Competition, the good news is you'll be able to see all of the pomp and circumstance on TV later this year.

The bad news is no one knows when the next competition will take place -- or where.

NJ.com reports for the first time in almost a quarter of a century, the next Miss America will be crowned on NBC. The show had been on ABC for the past few years.

NBC will broadcast a two hour-long show. Other important details -- like where and when -- are still up in the air.

Earlier this year, the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority announced the competition would not be returning to Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, saying the cost of hosting the event at the nearly 100-year-old building were too high. Boardwalk Hall, which seats just under 15,000 people, had a crowd of about 5,800 watching the crowning last year, according to published reports.

NBC has its work cut-out for itself. Miss America's TV ratings were down 19 percent between the last show and the one prior.
