Love the Smell of Fried Chicken? Try KFC-Scented Firelogs

Nothing says Merry Christmas like the smell of KFC chicken burning in your fireplace. (Okay, work with me here.)  For the third year, you can now buy KFC-scented firelogs at Walmart.

KFC launched the Herbs and Spices Firelog Monday for the holiday season. The product is available exclusively through Walmart.

It’s the third consecutive year KFC has decided to sell a fried chicken-scented firelog to celebrate the holiday season.

What seemed like the dumbest idea I'd ever heard last Christmas, is back again, which makes me think maybe it it isn't such a dumb idea after all.  Someone at KFC corporate has determined that fire wood that smells like their chicken when you burn it is good for their brand.

So I dug a little deeper and went to the Walmart website to see details about these KFC-scented logs.

The fact that they have to tell you not to eat the firelog is more than an little insulting, don't you think? They aren't giving you too much credit when they tell you not to put your face directly into the fire, either.

And any pet I ever owned had the common sense not to try to eat the chicken-scented wood mommy and daddy were gullible enough to buy.
