Loose Dogs Terrorize LEH Neighborhood, 6 People Bitten
Little Egg Harbor Police responding to a call about a dog bite Monday found three loose dogs terrorizing a neighborhood and residents frantically attempting to contain the animals. A total of 6 residents were bitten during the incident.
This wasn't the first time that these dogs have caused problems. Police have been called to the home on at least seven occasions in the last four months and count at least 12 bite victims, and unconfirmed reports of others.
The owner of these animals had been issued multiple summonses in relation to these prior incidents. On December 10th 2019, after one such incident, the dogs were removed by animal control and remarkably, returned to the owner at some point.
Monday the officers were eventually able to corral the dogs and turn them over to animal control.
Here is a Facebook press statement released By Little Egg Harbor Police about Monday's dog attacks.
