Jersey Shore Tsunami Alert Was a False Alarm

Chances are you have figured this out by now , but If you received a tsunami alert on your cell phone at around 8:30am Tuesday, it was a false alarm. According to Philly.com, the National Weather Service is investigating why some Jersey Shore residents received a tsunami alert on their Verizon cell phones.

The National Weather Service quickly issued a tweet clarifying that there was no tsunami warning for the Jersey Shore.
