
Jersey Shore Man Indicted in Murder of Dad
🔺 A Jersey Shore man was indicted in Ocean County on Thursday in connection to the murder of his father.
🔺 The alleged murder took place in Lacey Township in 2022
🔺 The man has been locked up in the Ocean County Jail since his arrest
A man from the Jersey Shore has been formally indicted in the 2022 murder of his father.
An Ocean County grand jury indicted 38-year-old Justin Donaldson of Lacey Township as a result of the death of his father in December of 2022, according to a release from Ocean County Prosecutor, Bradley D. Billhimer.

Lacey Township police were called to a home shared by Justin Donaldson and his 67-year-old father, David by a family member who was concerned about the well-being of their father.

When police arrived at the Weehawken Avenue home, they entered the home and found the elder Donaldson deceased, with apparent trauma to the man's face.
As a result of an investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Major Crime Unit, the Lacey Township Police Department, and the Ocean County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, Justin Donaldson was taken into custody.
He has been housed at the Ocean County Jail since his arrest.

Prosecutor Meghan O'Neill presented the case to the grand jury on behalf of the state, and the indictment was handed down on Thursday in Ocean County.
In his release, Ocean County Prosecutor Billhimer praised the efforts of O'neill as well as investigators from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Lacey Township Police Department, Lacey Township Police Department Detective Bureau, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit.
All suspects should be presumed innocent until/unless proven guilty in a court of law.
