Cape May Court House Welcomes Jersey Mike's

Jersey Mike's opens its first Cape May County location this Wednesday at 10 am in the Cape May Court House Acme Plaza at 11 South Dennis Road.

Brian Valois, the owner and general manager of the new CMCH Jersey Mike's, told NJ.com that the opening has taken some time to become a reality.

"I'm really excited and nervous. This has been a three-year

process."

The store's ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 9 am Wednesday, November 5th.

Jersey Mike's Aggressive Expansion Agenda

Jersey Mike's Subs has 3,072 stores nationwide, with a goal of 5000 stores in a couple of years and 10,000 eventually.

Jersey Mike's founder, Peter Cancro, talked about Jersey Mike's growth agenda in an article on the company website.

After opening 350 locations nationally in 2024 and 2025, the real breakout will be next year, when the company plans to open as many as 450 locations --- or 10 to 15 a week.

The founder started at Jersey Mike's Subs at Age 14

Peter Cancro has been a part of Jersey Mike's story since 1975, when he went to work in the original store when he was 14.

The Point Pleasant, NJ  business, which opened in 1956, was then called Mike's Subs.

Peter Cancro loved working at Mike's Subs so much that at age 17, he took out a loan and bought the business, and started expanding.

He began franchising in 1987 under the name Jersey Mike's Subs, and under his leadership, the company has grown into a nationwide chain.

It's an amazing success story. Good luck to the Cape May Court House store.
