A man who was wanted on an attempted murder charge for an incident earlier this month in Wildwood has been arrested.

43-year-old Terrance Dore of Wildwood was taken into custody without incident this past Sunday afternoon in Atlantic City.

The Wildwood Police Department says on Sunday night, September 17th, their officers responded to a residence at 100 West Poplar Avenue for a report of a woman who had been stabbed.

There, first responders located the victim approximately two blocks away with multiple puncture wounds to her upper body. She was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division in Atlantic City for treatment of serious injuries.

As police continued their work, they executed a search warrant at that address where DNA evidence was collected and submitted for analysis. As a result, Dore was identified as a suspect.

Dore is currently being held at the Cape May County Correctional Center pending initial court hearings.

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
