Eleven South Jersey Hospitals Are Among The Top 30 In New Jersey

When you have to go to the Emergency Room, all of us have that Hospital we prefer to go to and that Hospital we try to avoid. Whether our preferences are because of family and friend recommendations or our Primary Care Physician is affiliated with one, all of us go to the Hospital where we feel safe along with giving us peace of mind.

The Leapfrog Group is a not-for-profit organization that advocates for Hospital Transparency and uses data collection to push more healthcare institutions to improve the quality of care they offer.  The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades are generated based on Safety Reports, the quality of Hospital Staff along with their Doctors and Nurses, Proactive Daily Practices to Prevent Errors, and if there is a history of Problems with Surgeries.

There are 67 Hospitals in the state of New Jersey and 11 South Jersey Medical Centers are in the top 30; These are the Hospitals that received high grades according to Leapfrog (order of hospitals sorted by their cumulative Grades):

*Atlanticare Regional Medical Center-Mainland Campus Received an "A" Grade
Located on Jimmie Leeds Road in Pomona, this hospital received high grades for a low number of "Harmful Events" that happened to patients in their care along with high scores for Staff Execution of Safety Procedures and Bedside Care for Patients

*Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill Received an "A" Grade
Located on Route 322 in Mullica Hill, this hospital received high grades for the low number of infections for patients in their care along with high scores for Bedside Care and Staff Execution of Safety Procedures

*Inspira Medical Center Vineland Received an "A" Grade
Located on West Sherman Avenue, this hospital received high grades for having a low number of post-surgery issues and high scores for the Quality of their Doctors and Nurses along with their Bedside Care.

*Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital Received an "A" Grade
Located on Chapel Avenue West, this hospital received high grades for having very few post-surgery issues and high scores for Staff Execution of Safety Procedures along with Attention to Detail by Doctors and Nurses.

*Jefferson Stratford Hospital Received an "A" Grade
Located on East Laurel Road, this hospital received high grades for a low number of "Harmful Events" that happened to patients in their care along with high scores for their Bedside Care and Staff Execution of Safety Procedures

*Jefferson Washington Township Hospital Received an "A" Grade
Located on Hurfville-Cross Keys Road, this hospital received high grades for having a low number of post-surgery issues and high scores for Attention to Detail by their Doctors and Nurses along with Cleanliness.

*Virtua Marlton Hospital Received an "A" Grade
Located on Brick Road, this hospital received high grades for the low number of infections for patients in their care and high scores for Staff Execution of Safety Procedures and Bedside Care.

*Virtua Voorhees Hospital Received an "A" Grade
Located on Bowman Drive, this hospital received high grades for their cleanliness and patients' low number of infections along with high scores for the Attention to Detail by their Doctors and Nurses plus Staff Execution of Safety Procedures.

*Atlanticare Regional Medical Center - City Campus Received a "B" Grade
Located on Pacific Avenue, this hospital received high grades for having a low number of post-surgery issues plus high scores for Staff Execution of Safety Procedures and Bedside Care.

*Cape Regional Medical Center Received a "B" Grade
Located at the corner of Route 9 and Stone Harbor Boulevard, this hospital received high grades for the low number of "Harmful Events" that happened to patients in their care and high scores for their Staff Execution of Safety Procedures.

*Cooper University Hospital Received a "B" Grade
Located on Cooper Plaza and Haddon Avenue, this hospital received high grades for having a low number of post-surgery issues along with high scores for their Attention to Detail by the Doctors and Nurses plus Staff Execution of Safety Procedures.
