More Store Closings In New Jersey

It looks like more store closings are coming to New Jersey. According to a recent Patch article, the Big Lots department store chain is announcing it's going to close seven more stores here in the Garden State. This comes after numerous store closings were announced around the nation.

According to Patch, "In August, Big Lots announced plans it would close 300 of its locations across the United States. Patch reported about the Woodbridge store closing in the past, and now six more locations are on the chopping block as the company looks to re-structure its store footprint."

 

 

Here is a list of store closings by county that have been announced here in New Jersey:

 

Monmouth County:

Ocean Township, 2353 State Route 66

Freehold, 220 Trotters Way

 

Warren County:

Phillipsburg, 1202 New Brunswick Avenue

 

Union County:

Union, 2700 U.S. Highway 22

 

Hudson County:

North Bergen, 3129 Kennedy Boulevard

 

Middlesex County:

Woodbridge Big Lots on Green Street

East Brunswick, 275 State Route 18

"The company is advertising discount sales at these stores on its website; Big Lots has 27 stores in New Jersey, including the seven which are marked for closure." As of this week, there are no exact dates for these locations to officially close.

 

Big Lots has a diverse inventory including home furnishings, decorative pieces, holiday items, cleaning products, food items, pet supplies, etc. We have shopped at Big Lots and found items we liked at their stores. Our closest location is in Barnegat on Route 9.
