I was driving last night when, out of nowhere, my windshield completely spidered across the glass.

Chief Meteorologist Dan Zarrow says the lows this week will be near zero, and it's only getting up to the low 20's for a high.

Freezing temperatures can really do a number on our vehicles, especially windshields.
To help avoid damage during the winter months, experts recommend using your defroster slowly, being gentle when removing ice, keeping your distance from road crews to avoid rocks from being kicked up, and repairing small chips before they have a chance to spread.
Trust me, I shouldn't taken that advice!

It's also crucial to keep your car clean during the winter months, as all that salt, sand, and ice-melting chemicals on the roads can take a toll on your vehicle.
A trip to the car wash is definitely necessary to prevent rust and corrosion, espeically underneath your car, where all that grime can really build up.
