Belly Up: 25 Must-Visit Breweries Across New Jersey This Year
There is nothing more fun, in my opinion at least, than spending a nice afternoon soaking up some beers, vibes, food, and live music at a local brewery. There's just something about drinking beer in a large room that echoes like a cafeteria that makes it taste better, especially when there's an acoustic guitar playing in the background, and there's an outdoor area.
And I may sound like a curmudgeon here, but if it's a kid-free brewery, I like it even more.
NJ Breweries Have Tons Of Different Vibes Depending On Where You Go
New Jersey is home to a surprisingly large number of breweries, and each one has its own vibe and style. For example, Heavey Reel is a small brewery in Seaside Heights that's known for some seriously flavorful double IPAs, having board games ready to play for patrons, and the backroom near the bathrooms is decked out in really cool glow-in-the-dark artwork.
Then you have a place like Last Wave in Point Pleasant, it's a great place to meet up with some friends after a day on the beach, and it has a really good outdoor area that you can bring the whole family to, and yes, that includes your dog!
