Is This the Most Unusual Burger in New Jersey?
If you think foodie traditionalists go nuts when presented with pineapple as a pizza topping, or buffalo chicken pizza as a thing, wait until they hear about this.
Located on Tilton Road in Northfield, the Tilton Inn Bar and Grill has been a local gathering place for years. They're known for a very tasty menu of traditional bar food items.
People rave about their fish and chips, french dip, and crab cakes, as well as a large selection of finger foods, like wings and jalapeno poppers.
But now the Tilton Inn Bar and Grill is going where no other restaurant has dared to go. A post on the Atlantic County Eats Facebook page announced the creation of the first Milkyway Burger. At first, I thought it was a joke.
I love Milkyways, and I love burgers, but a Milkyway Burger?
David Pascale is the mastermind behind this creation. He told me he was inspired by The Burger Scholar's Youtube channel.
I have been following The burger scholar on YouTube and it inspired me to come up with an original burger at a good price so more people know that McDonald's isn't the only cheap burger out there and good burger at good prices are available
So exactly how is this unusual burger created?
it is a 1/4 pound smash burger with a portion of a milkyway melted under the cheese, a sauce I make that has an Asian flare, pickle chips. very basic but the balance of sweet, salty, and sour is all there.
You can try this creation yourself, at the Tilton Inn Bar and Grill at 6823 Tilton Road in Northfield.
