High Quality Indoor Pickleball Facility Coming to Jersey Shore
As pickleball continues to grow in our region, many new pickleball courts have popped up. Many former tennis courts have been converted to the surging sport.
The problem with most of the new courts is that they're located outdoors. This is great during the warm months, but it can get pretty cold around here, and year-round residents require nice indoor facilities.
For those who can get to Stafford, you'll love the news about what's coming to the building that used to house Bed, Bath & Beyond in the Kohl's Shopping Center off Route 72.
A chance meeting between Tom Neale and Scott Schubiger at a bagel place in Surf City, led to a partnership resulting in a high-quality pickleball facility coming to this Manahawkin location.
Neale told The Sandpaper, “I was standing next to somebody about my age, doing the same thing, just making a bagel run, and he was wearing a pickleball shirt,” he said. “He happened to be the chief growth officer for Picklr corporate, Scott Schubiger. We started talking, and now we’re partners.”
The Picklr is a high-end pickleball franchise that has facilities in 16 states. The Manahawkin location will be the first New Jersey location.
They are partners with Pickleball Inc. and NFL legend Drew Brees. They currently boast 275 locations with more to come, as well as international expansion.
The Pickler location in Manahawkin will feature over 22,000 square feet, making it one of the largest in the company.
They will soon begin to offer memberships. Those who join early will be able to lock in special pricing for the life of their membership.
The facility will offer 7 pro-quality courts, special lighting, a pro shop, a locker room, a lounge, a cafe, and more.
Members will enjoy unlimited open play, league play, and tournaments.
In addition, members will have access to other Picklr locations nationwide.
The Picklr welcomes players of all ages and experience levels.
