Hammonton’s 145th Mount Carmel Festival Runs Thru Saturday

Here's the good news: The 145th Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel will be celebrated this year in Hammonton.

There is one catch, however. Due to covid-19 restrictions imposed by the State of NJ, the carnival aspect of the Festival is canceled.

But (back to the good news), the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Food Stand and Beer Garden will be open all week!  Have lunch from 11am-1:30pm or dinner from 5-9pm at the longest running Italian festival in America.

In maintaining the festival tradition, the procession will be held on at 4pm on Thursday, July 16.  The procession will depart from St. Mary of Mount Carmel parish at St. Joseph church, at French and Third streets and follow its historic route.

Also, on Thursday, July 16 at 7pm on the Mount Carmel Carnival Grounds, there will be live music featuring Stealing Savannah. The evening will conclude with a fireworks display at 10pm.
