Credit a tip from a concerned citizen and some quality police work in the fast apprehension of a suspect in a string of car break-ins in Galloway Township.

Last Thursday night, Oct. 25, numerous cars were broken into and a vehicle was stolen around Arbutus and Magnolia avenues in Galloway.

Police credit a description of the suspect given by a concerned resident which lead to police seeing the suspect the following day. Det. Bryan Casey and Ofc. Ronald Gorneau spotted a suspect matching the description in the area of Rt. 30 and 7th Avenue.

After seeing and investigating the suspect, Casey Williams, 26, of Edmond, Oklahoma, was detained and charged with the vehicle burglaries and the stolen vehicle. Property taken during these thefts was recovered at a nearby motel. In addition, the stolen vehicle was recovered and returned to the owner.

Williams is being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Galloway Police thanked the public for their help with this investigation.
