The location will be the same, but the approach to doing business will be vastly different when Atlantic City's Ocean Resort opens for business in the former Revel casino site,  according to the new casino's developer.

The opening, tentatively scheduled for May 28, will feature a more welcoming environment, with management saying they have paid close attention to not repeating the mistakes of Revel.

Bruce Deifik, who bought the casino in January for $200 million, spoke with Wayne Parry of the Associated Press recently about the research Ocean Resort did to see what customers liked and didn't like about Revel.

"The first thing we did is pay very close attention to what people said about this place, positive and negative," he said. "We will listen; that's a difference-maker. Treat people with respect. Be glad they're here, and treat them as family members. The main difference is a completely different attitude concerning service to our customer. I think there was a huge disconnect there."

Here are five changes in policy Deifik says you can expect at the new Ocean Resort  Casino, compared with the Revel days...

1- Easier access from the Boardwalk and a new casino floor configuration to make it less confusing getting around.

2- Family and kid friendly

3- Bus trips encouraged and a traditional casino buffet

4- All levels of gamblers welcomed

5 - Smoking permitted
