Ventnor Police made six arrests over the weekend in a string of car burglaries in the Ventnor Heights section of town. Police are crediting an alert resident for help in making the arrests.

Police responded to a call about a group of teens burglarizing cars at 2:47am Sunday in the area of Burke and Cambridge avenues in Ventnor Heights.

Responding officers were able to locate and apprehend six suspects who initially fled on foot. An investigation determined that these six individuals had entered seven vehicles in the vicinity of the initial caller’s location, and stole various items and money. It was determined that all seven vehicles had been left unlocked.

An 18-year old and five juveniles also from Atlantic City were arrested.
