New Jersey was recently named the eighth most dog-friendly state in 2024 by ShowSight Magazine.

The magazine says that the Garden State has more than 2,000 dog-friendly facilities, over 1,700 dog-friendly restaurants, and nearly 400 dog-friendly hotels.

But what are New Jersey's favorite dog breeds? We turned to dogster.com to find out. Their newly updated list of NJ's top dogs has just come out.

Frenchies are a gentle breed. They're usually calm and suited to a range of households. For example, they can be the perfect pet for families, singles, couples, or seniors.

French bulldogs are expensive -- running between $1,500 and $8000 -- because of their popularity, breeding challenges, and health concerns.

One final note after looking at NJ's most popular purebred dogs.

My personal favorite dog breed has always been a mixed breed. Please consider a good, mixed-breed dog the next time you are looking for a new family member.
