The family of the nurse shot and killed by her estranged husband as she arrived for work at a senior living facility in Egg Harbor Township has started a GoFundMe campaign to help her children.

Victoria Alexander. 38, of Minetola, was shot to death in a murder-suicide by Brandon Alexander, who then shot himself on April 13 at the ExcelCare at Egg Harbor rehabilitation facility on Delilah Road.

GoFundMe for Children in EHT Murder-Suicide

The fundraising effort, started by her cousin, Martin Harrington, talks about children left behind trying to cope with the loss of both parents.

My cousin’s life was taken far too soon due to senseless gun violence at the hands of her estranged husband, who also took his own life. In a single, tragic moment, everything changed for her children and for all of us who loved her.
The fundraiser talks about what a devoted mom Alexander was and how close she was with the children.
She was more than just a victim—she was a devoted mother, a beautiful soul, and the center of her children’s world. Her love, her presence, and her strength were everything to them, and now they are left trying to understand a loss that words can’t explain.
The campaign is asking for $3000 to help the children with immediate needs and their ongoing care.
As of this writing, the GoFundMe has collected over $2,300.

A Horrible Murder Scene

Authorities say that Brandon Alexander, 35, was waiting in the parking lot at  ExcelCare early that morning.

When his wife arrived, he blocked her car, leaving two suicide notes in it, and then chased her into her workplace, where he shot her several times before shooting himself.

Victoria Alexander died on the scene. Brandon Alexander died later in the hospital.
