According to the report, Hamilton Township Police first responded to Planet Fitness on the Black Horse Pike in Mays Landing on September 16th after one victim reported Zhang was trying to record him in the bathroom.
They identified one witness to the alleged crime, Joseph Hayes.
"That's what I walked into...The guy trying to get his phone back from the guy who saw some pictures of himself on his phone."
The Action News report says there are about 50 videos of different victims who reported being recorded by Zhang between May and September 2024.
The report says other recording incidents happened at the Mays Landing Wawa and locations in Egg Harbor City, Medford, and Bermuda.
In the arrest affidavit, Zhang admitted to recording one victim at least one other time.
"He also said that attraction is what makes him want to record them."
Zhang is now facing 15 counts of invasion of privacy. He is being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
