A dog named 'Nucki' turned out to be lucky for one Jersey shore resident. He saved her from a fire.

The pitbull reportedly starting barking around 5 a.m. Saturday morning, unusual behavior according to his own Michelle Murphy. He was also running back and forth.

Murphy didn't ignore her pup's pleas. She went and opened her back door to find her deck and a staircase leading to her Ventnor apartment unit in flames, according to NJ.com.

She was able to alert her neighbors and everyone was evacuated safely. However, the 3-story property was reportedly destroyed.

Nucki was truly a lifesaver!

There is now a GoFundMe set up to help the victims of the fire, who essentially lost everything. Click here to help.
