An Egg Harbor Township man is lucky to be alive following a crash on the Black Horse Pike in West Atlantic City last evening.

Egg Harbor Township Police say the accident happened just after 7:30pm near Genoa Avenue.

Police say the crash happened like this:

A 2016 Ford pickup truck, operated by Jake Matlock of Egg Harbor Township, failed to maintain it's lane while westbound on the Black Horse Pike and was involved in a same direction side swipe crash with a 2015 Ford Mustang, operated by Richard Graham of Egg Harbor Township. The Ford pickup then lost control, spun off the roadway, and struck two poles and three parked vehicles in the parking lot of Lighthouse Motors. The collision with the poles caused the Ford pickup to overturn, trapping Mr. Matlock inside the vehicle.

Mr. Matlock was extricated from the truck with the assistance of the West Atlantic City Volunteer Fire Company. He was treated and transported to a nearby hospital for his minor injuries. There were no reported injuries to Mr. Graham.

The accident remains under investigation.
