COVID Vaccine Will Be Available in Some NJ CVS Stores Next Week
The unavailability and the long wait times have only added to the frustration and the challenge of trying to get the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
According to NPR, the White House will make available and ship one million doses of the vaccine directly to pharmacies all over the country.
You'll be able schedule appointments starting February 9th. Some CVS stores may not be ready for the initial distribution. The list of stores that will have access to the vaccine, will be released online once appointments can be scheduled. You can also call 800-746-7281 if you don't have access to a computer.
Walgreens will also become a site for mass distributions once the vaccine becomes fully available.
Now comes word from 6 ABC that the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine will be available soon at Rowan College of South Jersey in Deptford Township in Gloucester County. Rowan College is one of the six vaccine mega sites in New Jersey.
According to a press release from Rowan, calls have already been made at emails have been sent to those in Group 1, formally Phase 1. The health department at Rowan County Public Health have administered the Moderna vaccine which requires a second dose 28 days or later after the first dose. You must have received the first dose at the Rowan site in order to receive the second shot.
