Cape May Mailman Missing, His Car Found in Monmouth County
Lower Twp. Police and Wall Twp. Police in Monmouth County are looking for Corey McFadden, a missing Villas man who works for the Cape May Post Office.
Corey was last spoken to on Friday. His car was found abandoned on the side of the Garden State Parkway at mile marker 96.4 in Wall Township by police.
Here's what I know from talking to his parents.
At some point last weekend, Corey left his home in Villas without his wallet or his cellphone and started driving up the Garden State Parkway. His parents think he was by himself.
Police found his car on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at 11:15 am on the side of the Parkway with the keys still in it, but Corey was gone.
Since then, State Police and police in Wall Township have searched the area for Corey and used search dogs to try and pick up his scent. Sunday's excessive rain left little scent of anything.
The Wall Township Police Department is asking residents in the area of the Brice Park, Sandpiper Way, Shoreline Drive, Westside Drive, Allenwood Lakewood Road and Atlantic Avenue to check any residential security camera footage they may have.
It's not known it Corey tried to continue going north toward new York City , or if he tried to return to his home in Cape May County.
His family is very concerned and ask that you keep a look out for him.
McFadden is described as 33 years of age, 5'7" tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds.
If you have any information concerning Corey McFadden, please contact Detective Shane Roland or Detective John Spinapont at (732) 449-4500.
