CMCH Woman Wins Antarctic Cruise Worth $42K on TV Show

Patti DeStefano is a big fan of "Live with Kelly and Mark".

The Cape May Court House woman says she has been watching Kelly Ripa on her syndicated morning TV talk show for years and has met her several times.

Patti is not such a big fan of cruises. This is where the story gets interesting.

CMCH Woman Played "Stump Mark Travel Trivia"

One of the features on "Live" is a trivia game where the home viewer gets to challenge co-host Mark Consuelos by asking him a pair of true or false statements.

One of the statements is true, and the other is false.

If the viewer stumps Mark, they win a shirt and a coffee mug from the show. They also get their name added as a entrant for a grand prize given away later in the TV season.

Patti played this game with Mark on the show in January and stumped him. She won the prizes and had her name included in the grand prize drawing.

Ever since then, Patti has had a premonition that she would win the grand prize, even telling her friends and family that she was sure she would be picked as the winner.

I knew I was going to win. I had a gut feeling all year.

The winner gets a 13-day cruise for two to Antarctica. The trip includes a flight from New Jersey to Argentina, where the cruise begins, and all the accommodations, meals, and more.

Patti Is Conflicted About the Prize

As I told you, Patti does not care for cruises.

They make her anxious. Especially cruises to remote parts of the world where it's very cold and desolate, and all you see around you in the boat is water everywhere and large chunks of ice.

I share some of Patti's anxiety about this situation, and I told her that hearing about this trip reminds me of the scene from the movie Titanic, where the captain yells, "Iceberg, dead ahead!"

She nervously agreed, and we shared a laugh while thinking about it.

Patti says her husband told her they are "definitely" going on the cruise. I mean, it's the cruise of a lifetime, worth $42K, for goodness sake!

So, it looks like Patti will be cruising to Antarctica sometime soon.
