A new Buffalo Wild Wings GO opened this week on Rt. 72 in Manahawkin. We thought that was a good reason to explain what a Buffalo Wild Wings GO is.

What is Buffalo Wild Wings GO?

The new location of Buffalo Wild Wings in Manahawkin is a little different from the traditional locations of the popular sports bar known for its wings and its TV mascot Hank, the Buffalo with wings who loves Buffalo Wild Wings.

BWW Go sells the chain’s famous chicken wings and other classic menu items, but its locations are smaller and limited mostly to delivery and takeout orders.

The outlets usually feature less than two dozen seats, presumably for customers awaiting their takeout orders.

According to CNBC, the normal, eat-in Buffalo Wild Wings sports bar is around 6,000 square feet on average, and a Go location is roughly 1,800 square feet. That means the real estate is cheaper and it's easier to build and open it.

We have traditional Buffalo Wild Wings Grill and Bar locations at the Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing and Union Lake Crossing in Millville.

Takeout Is Taking Over

Buffalo Wild Wings brand president Jon Bowie told CNBC that before the pandemic, off-premise orders accounted for 15% of Buffalo Wild Wings sales. Now, takeout and delivery make up about 33% of the BWW’s sales.

Buffalo Wild Wings has now opened more than 100 of these new Buffalo Wild Wings GO locations and is now branding them under the GO name.

Buffalo Wild Wings Is a Player

Buffalo Wild Wings has become the franchise market's big wing dealer nationally, serving more than 3 million gallons of ranch and blue cheese dressing in 2023.

Buffalo Wild Wings has been a part of Inspire Brands since 2018. Initially formed after a merger between BWW and Arby’s, Inspire has since added other chains including Sonic Drive-In, Dunkin’, and Baskin-Robbins.

The new Buffalo Wild Wings Manahawkin location is at 650 Route 72 West in the Manahawkin Dunkin Donuts complex.
