Three New York City men are facing charges of stealing almost $10,000 in merchandise from retail stores in Lower Ocean County.

Police say that the men, all residents of Brooklyn, including one juvenile, were arrested after ripping off about $1,250 in merchandise from Dick's Sporting Goods.

Police responded to a call about shoplifting on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 16th, at the Dick's store on Stafford Park Boulevard and took Arnol Gomez Vasquez, 21, Owen Quintereo Ortiz, 19, and a male juvenile into custody for stealing.

Three Men Stole From Several Lower Ocean Stores

Stafford Township Police later found that these guys had goods that they had stolen from several other retail stores around Lower Ocean County.

Stolen goods were found from retailers in Wall Township, Toms River, and Manahawkin. Police say the total value of the stolen merchandise was over $9000.

The three suspects were taken to Stafford Township headquarters, where they were processed and released on summonses to appear in Ocean County Superior Court.

Gomez Vasquez and Qunteru Ortiz were each charged with multiple counts of conspiracy, shoplifting, receiving stolen property, and using a juvenile to commit a crime.

The juvenile was charged with shoplifting, conspiracy, and receiving stolen property.
