Body of Man Found in New Jersey Wildlife Area

Police are investigating the circumstances behind the death of a man whose body was found in the Greenwood Wildlife Management area.

The Manchester Township Police Department was called for a report of a body that was found on December 14.

The Manchester police were joined by investigators from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, the New Jersey State Police Major Crime Bureau, the New Jersey State Police Crime Scene Investigation Unit Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, and the New Jersey Conservation Police Department.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer released a statement,

We are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this death and the discovery of this deceased male’s body. There is no known danger to the public at this time. We will release more information as the investigation unfolds

Police have not released any other information about the victim, or the circumstances behind his death.

Authorities are asking for the public's help in piecing together the puzzle in this case.
