Gross! Am I The Only One Who Thinks People Shouldn’t Go Barefoot On Our South Jersey, NJ Boardwalks?
I spotted a strange sight this weekend -- and multiple times!
Here's a shocker: I spent a lot of time at the beach and on the boardwalk this weekend because of the gorgeous weather.
I was frollicking about until....I spotted someone walking along the boardwalk barefoot.
I thought it was a little strange at first but didn't pay it too much attention.
But then later when I was on my way back to my place, I spotted someone JOGGING on the boardwalk with no shoes or socks on whatsoever.
WOW! Running by choice? Kudos to this guy!
But this seems weird to me for two reasons:
1. Aren't you worried about splinters? I've had some BAD ONES and they have scarred me for life.
2. I am someone who hates feet and think they are gross enough on their own. Do we really want hundreds of people walking barefoot on the boardwalks this upcoming Summer?
I get that we are barefoot on the beach but up on the boardwalk?
I feel like this upcoming Summer at the Jersey Shore is going to be a madhouse because people have been stuck in quarantine for the past year.
So prepare for an insanely crowded situation.
But if we have a massive amount of people walking on the boardwalk, doesn't that mean our boardwalks will become filled with sweat and germs and who knows what else from people's feet?
Like....feet are gross enough already.
I know this sounds like something silly but I have a thing with feet where they GROSS ME OUT. Plus, who knows what you are stepping on.
We are going to have thousands of people on and off our boardwalks....I don't want my feet touching that stuff. Do you?
To me, maybe we should go barefoot on the sand but wear sandals on the boardwalk.
Do you agree?
